OVERVIEW:
The individual filling this position serves as the Production Coordinator of North Andover’s community television station, a 501(c)(3) independent non-profit organization. North Andover Community Access and Media, Inc. oversees the operation of the Public, Education & Government Access channels with approximately 8,000 cable subscribers from Comcast and Verizon. Established in 2004, North Andover CAM is a local community television station that is involved with town activities on a daily basis encouraging community spirit. We are seeking a skilled and energetic person for this entry level, full time position to promote our activities and services that we provide to the local community. This is a great opportunity to develop a marketing campaign utilizing any form of media in a small market with immediate feedback of impact.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator is primarily responsible for the promotion of the opportunities, services and actions of the organization by developing marketing campaigns for print, electronic and social media. This position will also assist in the daily operations of engaging members to help produce Sports, News and Event video production coverage; Post production editing and producing commercials. These responsibilities are based upon the principals, practices and techniques of Community Television Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new marketing campaigns to target and penetrate specific demographics.
- Maintain social media outreach through various platforms
- Design promotional content for newspaper advertisements
- Promote company services through public relation initiatives.
- Creatively update and maintain company website to aid in community engagement
- Inform the community and its institutions about the availability, goals and uses of community media
- Create opportunities to engage community in what North Andover CAM has to offer
- Assist in training members for production positions
- Asist in Multi Camera Production in studio, as well as on location
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BA degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design or related experience
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, individuals, ideas, and opinions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with professionals and non-professionals
- A self motivated individual who demonstrates resourcefulness in achieving goals
- Strong Graphic Design, Computer and Writing skills
- Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and familiar with other Adobe Creative software a plus
- The ability to work on your feet for most of a shift on any given workday.
