Multimedia Manager Job Description
The Multimedia Manager is an experienced leader and media professional on Medfield TV’s staff. They lead the creation, management, and implementation of multimedia content, ensuring it effectively communicates messages and engages target audiences across various platforms. They are responsible for overseeing Medfield TV’s production process, supervising the Technical Production Associate and Education & Production Coordinator, being a role model for staff, volunteers, and interns, and ensuring high-quality productions within the guidelines presented by the Executive Director.
This is a full-time exempt position working at least 35 hours per week during traditional weekday hours. Expected schedule may vary depending on productions and employee needs. Reports to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities
Supervision of Junior Personnel and Interns
- Supervises the Technical Production Associate and Education & Production Coordinator, understanding their roles, holding regular check-ins, and ensuring tasks are completed on time and to company standards
- Recruits and trains interns, assigns tasks and oversees their work
- Supports the Education & Production Coordinator with the following as needed:
- Scheduling in-studio and on-location shoots and assigning volunteers
- Provide training and one-on-one assistance to volunteers as-needed
- Creating class curriculum in graphic design and other visual mediums
- Updating the calendar with productions, editing time, and equipment check-in/out
- Teaching multi-day classes for educational programs
Creative Direction & Digital Presence
- With guidance from the Executive Director, sets the standard for the look, feel, and usability of productions and their assets, ensuring production quality matches our reputation for excellence.
- Oversees the production process, ensuring production deadlines are met
- Reviews staff, volunteer, and intern edits, and provides a list of re-edits
- Manages Medfield TV’s social media accounts, posting content regularly, observing engagement among followers, and adjusting outreach strategy based on performance
- Reports to the Executive Director on social media metrics and analytics, noting areas in which we are succeeding, suggesting ways to improve, and developing action plans and steps
- Creates eye-catching visual elements for Medfield TV content using Adobe Creative Cloud
- With help and direction from the Executive Director:
- Designs marketing and outreach materials
- Creates and distributes monthly newsletter
Audio Visual Content Distribution
- Uploads and schedules content on Medfield TV’s three SD cable channels and one HD online channel, and monitors the broadcasts on Verizon and Comcast
- Develop a consistent cablecast schedule for recurring productions and update the content weekly on our four cable channels: Public, Education, Government, and HD
- Uploads audio content to Medfield TV’s podcast hosting platform
- Shares upcoming content schedules with local papers, on social media, and in our newsletter
General Responsibilities
- Collaborates with team to develop and support classes, shows, and fundraisers that uphold Medfield TV’s mission
- Suggests new Medfield TV initiatives which support the advancement of Medfield TV’s Vision
- Assists in the procurement of supplemental revenue by working with the team to fundraise, write grants, plan fundraising events, and provide production services
- Record and edit Medfield TV productions and certain Medfield community events, as needed and as assigned
- Continually elevates their skills through continuing education and the creation of new content
- Answer phones and emails
Job Requirements
- Degree in communications, media production, or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in the field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Experience leading and training individuals and crews in video production
- Vast technical knowledge of video equipment, non-linear editing, and graphic design
- Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other related Adobe programs
- Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends to cover necessary events. Some tasks may be done remotely with advanced permission of the Executive Director
- Must have reliable transportation
- Can lift and carry the equipment necessary for each production
- Exercises patience with new learners
- Able to use sound judgment when problem-solving and making decisions
- Must pass a CORI Check
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in community media, nonprofit organizations, or educational settings
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or Monday
- Familiarity with volunteer management platforms such as the POINT app
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact

Salary Range
$55,000-$60,000/yr commensurate with experience
