Responsible for assisting in the development and production of local programming for cablecast and multimedia distribution.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Production and broadcast of videos for community, government, and school events
- Set up, operate, record, stream, troubleshoot, and break down single and multiple camera video productions
- Create and edit videos from story-boarding through delivery. May include:
- creating artwork and graphics
- adding and creating intros/exits/effects/transitions/elements
- selecting and adjusting audio
- Provide general technical and customer service in-studio and in-office
- Stream various government meetings using virtual meeting software
- Develop and maintain WTV’s online presence including posting information, announcements, and video availability to WTV website and social media accounts
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency/demonstrated work in video production or other media formats is required
- Proficiency/demonstrated use of Adobe Premiere or video editing software is required, use of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus
- Proficiency/demonstrated use of graphics including motion graphics is a plus
- Demonstrated use of green screen footage/color-correcting/audio modification is a plus
- Experience with social media usage is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of related experience; or
- any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience
- Additional training in communication, video production, film or media is preferred.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ideal candidate has strong video production and editing skills
- Must be a good communicator, time-manager, and organizer with the ability to take instruction and work independently
- Creativity and a keen eye for design, colors, typeface and layout is required
- Adherence to professional broadcast standards and quality is required
- Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot or solve problems
- Class D Driver’s license required.
- Must be able to pass CORI check
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods while operating equipment
- Local to Westborough or contingent community is preferred
Position is hourly with an expectation of a regular 40 hour work week, with OT paid above 40 hours. Evening and weekend hours required, approx. 15 hours monthly. Submit resume, demo reel (if available), and cover letter to Karen Henderson at khenderson@westboroughtv.org
